When i saw the trailer on Tv Mobile, i immediately made up my mind. I'm going to catch this movie!!! This movie is about the story of grandmaster Ip Mun of WingChun fighting style, who is also the shifu of lengendary Bruce Lee. Although the storyline is abit similar to Huo Yuan Jia by Jet Li, the actions are really worth watching. All the fighting scenes are really well choreographed and keeps ur heart pounding with every fight. The sound effects added gives the scenes much more impact. Heard that they may even come up with a sequel about Ip Mun's life after he escaped from china to HK and how he came to coach little Bruce. Interesting~

If you have not catch this great movie yet. Catch it now!!!

Went to Anime Festival Asia with the guys on last sun and it was great fun even though it was damn tiring for me to walk around the whole day with my bass strap on my back (i had to go for my guitar practice in the evening). It's a very interesting exhibition that showcases some of the currently most popular anime titles as well as other activities such as displays of anime figurines, manga drawing competition, cosplay competition and not forgetting the selling of anime merchandise and mecha models for the die hard anime fans. The highlight of the day was the performance by a japanese singer, May' N who sang Macross Frontier's theme songs. Regretabbly, i could only catch her first 4 songs performance as i had to leave for my practice. Definitely will be looking forward to the event again next year! v(^.^)

Here are some of the images taken on that day =D

Got the latest mayday's album few days ago when i met xu, kai, han and daniel for dinner at TM. i had always supported mayday since their second album as i felt that they are really a band worth listening to as their songs are always catchy and meaningful. The vocalist, A-shin always never cease to amaze me with his incredible stamina in concerts where he can sing for 3 hrs straight with only a mere 10mins break. In this new album, they incorporated their usual happy and catchy pop-rock style with some soulful and nice ballads. The ballads in this album however i feel are the main course as all of them are soulful and melodious with meaningful lyrics. One can tell that the band had really put in much effort into producing this album as each individual song is unique with well-written lyrics.

生存以上生活以下, 爆肝, 噢買尬 and 春天的吶喊 are the usual fast and upbeat songs. 突然想好你, 你不是真的快樂, 我心中尚未崩壞的地方, 如煙, 後青春期的詩 are some of the ballads that you would want to listen to it again and again. The theme song 後青春期的詩 is a nice soothing acoustic ballad that could really be a good bedtime song LOL. And what is mayday without a 'mian nan yu'(Taiwanese hokkien) song? Although 出頭天 is the only hokkien song in this album, it is real catchy and reminds me of their older hokkien songs such as I Love You 无望. The last song 笑忘歌 is a cheerful song with some nice harmonica in the intro and combine with a catchy chorus made this song to end this album perfectly. Some of my favourites in this album are 突然想好你, 你不是真的快樂, 噢買尬, 出頭天, 我心中尚未崩壞的地方, 如煙, 後青春期的詩 & 笑忘歌. Hmm did i just more than half of the songs in this album?yeah this album is that good!=)

decided to catch this anime series after seeing good reviews on it as another great gundam series. Even though i only catch the first 9 episodes of it i feel that the storyline for Gundam 00 have some similarities with Gundam wing. both stories had the same ideas of "using violence against violence" to bring peace. the main characters in both series were relatively young and had a violent past. There were only a few political powers during the time and were all fighting for power and control. The gundams were then the weapons of some mysterious organization that hates war and decides to interfere and brings peace. In this new series, there are 4 gundams with each having a unique ability such as one for close combat, a sniper, a cannon blaster, and 1 that can transform into a fighter jet..the design of the new gundams dosent look attractive to me and the story well, just not really that great too as it isnt all that original but hopefully the rest of the story will be much better as it progresses...

just came back from another round of jamming practice today where we are preparing for my guitar club upcoming performance in dec. time passed so fast that i realized we only had 3 weeks left prior to the actual performance date. i decided to go slightly earlier and do some self practice in our club rm first before the jamming with my teacher. Reached the club at 8pm and as usual i went to the office to sign out the key. i did not book the club room in advance as it was usually vacant during this time therefore was quite surprised when i was told that another guitar club friend of mine, leonard had sign out the key. Thus i just proceed to the club room and wow i was surprised when i saw that all the 'lao jiaos' of our guitar club were there. leonard, mike, peter, and julie was in the room. they had formed a band together and were waiting for the drummer, joo kiat to arrive. it is interesting to see them together as i had nvr really see them playing together as when i first joined the club, they were all from different bands except mike and peter. it was a pity that I couldnt watch them jam as another student is using the drums for lesson conducted by our teacher. chatted with them for a while before it was time for me to leave for my own practice session in another room. It will be interesting if they managed to prepare in time for the performance which will increase the total band lineup to 9. Hope that everything goes smoothly for my own band performance too in 3 weeks time...hmm
